How to pitch your webinar like a boss

Webinars are a powerful tool to keep in your arsenal for creating and growing your audience. 

They have been proven time after time to be a fantastic way to get your business booming. 

With that being said, if you’re getting ready to pitch your very first webinar, there are four steps you should take for pitching perfection.


4 Steps To Pitching Perfection

Step #1: Be Prepared

No one ever regrets being over-prepared, right? 

The same goes for your webinar, so block out as much time as you can for planning and prep-work. 

I suggest blocking off at least 7-10 days, just to make sure you are going into the launch with as much confidence as you possibly can. 

Also, never underestimate the power of organization. Sort through your content, plan out your promotions, and set up the tech side of things. 

Step #2: Promote, Promote, and Promote Some More.

Start filling up your webinar with attendees 10-14 days before your first webinar.

I recommend a webinar reminder email sequence to remind attendees of the webinar they signed up for, why they won’t want to miss it, and how they can gain access.

Hot Tip: this strategy will dramatically help to increase your webinar show-up rates!

Remember to use those fancy Instagram squares and all of your social channels to increase your attendance and show-up rates.

Step #3: Make That Elevator Pitch

Congratulations! 

At this step, you’ve made it to the live webinar itself! 

Make sure you have all your slides ready and you’ve practiced a few times. 

Most importantly, though, just be yourself and do what feels natural. Express your passion for your product or service and your genuine desire to help your audience achieve their goals. 

Remember, authenticity will always shine through, so avoid using salesy or slimy ways of wording things — and always, always imply ACTION.

Here are a few power words and phrases you can use to encourage your audience to act and make a decision quickly: 

  • Exclusive 

  • Founding member pricing

  • Get it before anyone 

  • Apply to be a founding member 

  • Only available to 

  • Crowd favorite 

  • Limited offer 

  • Only 10 available 

  • Get while this bonus lasts 

  • Early-bird rate expires as soon as I jump off

Step 4: Post Webinar

Whew! You did it! You held your very first webinar! 

The dust has settled. You’ve done all of the prepping, promoting, and pitching in all the best ways. 

But you’re not out of the gate just yet… 

The post-webinar phase is very critical, and these follow-up steps can potentially double or triple the sales that you made live, so listen *closely*…

After your webinar has ended, you need a “replay period”. This is where those who couldn’t attend live can watch the webinar replay, but only for about 24 to 48 hours after it happened live. 

You’ll want to send out 3 emails, spread out over the predetermined period of time:

  • Email #1: Send out an email with the replay link of your webinar, encouraging your leads to watch and reply with their thoughts.

  • Email  #2:  Next, you’ll want to let your audience know that the webinar offer is expiring, creating a sense of urgency. 

  • Email #3: This is the last call — make it super clear that this is the last chance they have to sign up.

You will then follow this sequence with your profitable sales sequence. A series of emails that will encourage fast action to purchase, create a desire for your product and urge those on the fence to purchase.

And last but not least, after your offer has closed, make sure to redirect all of your pages to a “you missed it” message. This creates a sense of FOMO and demand for your product so that maybe next time those who missed out will be a little quicker to join.
